How To STOP Puppy Mills!
If the public would do these 3 things, there would not be puppy mills:
1. NEVER buy a puppy from a pet store. 99% of those dogs are shipped in from puppy mills.
2. If you are able to have a mixed breed, go to your nearest dog shelter and look there first.
3. If you want a purebred dog or puppy, find a reputable breeder who will let you visit their home.
This is the only way to ensure you are not getting your puppy from a Puppy Mill. Puppy Mills will not let you come to their home. Ask for a FaceTime appointment with the breeder to see the puppy in real time before sending a deposit. Getting a puppy is a 15 year commitment, so you have every right to see where your puppy was born and raised.
